This Wednesday evening, January 27th, Bucknell student entrepreneurs had the opportunity to showcase their work at the Lewisburg Campus Theatre.  “Student Startups Onscreen” was the name of the event, a screening of Penn State WPSU’s screening of “The Investment” which is a student entrepreneurial competition that was held this past November between the two Bucknell BizPitch finalists Flip ‘N Flate and Uscape Apparel, two teams from Penn State and two teams from University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Prior to the screening a host of Bucknell student entrepreneurs had the opportunity to showcase their work during a reception.  There was a nice turn out, which made for some great buzz during the reception.  In addition to Flip ‘N Flate and Uscape Apparel, other student entrepreneurs included BizPitch final round contestants- Pickup, Friendress, and Thunderstruck Studios, as well as Bucknell’s University Innovation Fellows, and the Entrepreneur and Innovation Affinity House representatives. Each group had insight on the work they do that helps to drive the entrepreneurial spirit at Bucknell. Everyone also seemed to thoroughly enjoy the screening of the “Investment”, given the laughter and complimentary remarks heard among the audience for the two finalists who competed.  It was a job well done by all of the entrepreneurs who came out to showcase their work.  Special congratulations to Uscape Apparel and Flip ‘N Flate.
